Prerelease events are a casual way to learn a new set and play some fun games. Registration lets you play in the pre-release tournament, and includes the cost of the pre-release kit. The pre-release kit comes with 6 Play boosters that you’ll use to craft a 40 card deck, and then play against others. This is a casual event meant to learn the new set and its mechanics, no pressure to be an expert already!
Attending more than one Outlaws of Thunder Junction Pre-release event will earn you an official prerelease pin! The pins might not be here in time for the event due to delays from Wizards of the Coast, but it will be reserved for you for as soon as they do arrive.
Details:
- Max 8 players
- 3-round Swiss tournament
- Each round is best of 3
Flat prize structure (Each round you win will get you an extra Play booster)- No prize structure, instead everyone will receive two additional Play Boosters at the end of the event
- 50 minutes per round maximum
- Bring your own lands, or borrow from the store
- Sleeves, deck boxes, and binders are
5%10% off while at any Kevin’s Hobby Shop Limited event.
